Because healthcare is a human right, the mission of ICHS, a non profit community health center, is to provide comprehensive healthcare services to anyone, regardless of ability to pay.
One of the ways we have secured funds for uncompensated care for uninsured and underinsured children, adults and older adults in our community, is through events like the Lunar New Year 5k race, which has been held annually for many years.
Whether you’ve participated in one or more of the ICHS Lunar New Year 5K events, thank you for your participation! We greatly appreciate your commitment to supporting ICHS’ mission in advocating for health care access for all.
After much thoughtful discussion about how we can use our limited resources to best support uncompensated care at ICHS, we made the decision to retire the Lunar New Year 5k run. We are grateful for the excitement and solidarity that was created from those events. And we hope you will continue to join us in support of ICHS’ mission at future events.
Looking ahead, we are excited to introduce our new ICHS Lunar New Year Luncheon, the Healthcare for All Benefit, which will take place on February 13th, 2025.
