ICHS Turns 50

ICHS Turns 50

Make a gift to ICHS for our 50th Anniversary!

50th Banner

International Community Health Services’ story is about the love, care, commitment and compassion that members of the community have dedicated for one another.

Just as we did 50 years ago, ICHS provides culturally and linguistically appropriate health and wellness services, and promotes health equity for all.

Thank You

On behalf of all of us at ICHS, we'd like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our event donors who helped us raise $312,000 for uncompensated care at our 50th Anniversary Gala!

It was an amazing night! Our largest fundraiser to date, with over 400 guests in attendance to help ICHS keep health care access alive.

All proceeds will go directly to providing health services for our uninsured and underinsured patients who otherwise would not be able to afford their care.

Thank you for ensuring health care access for immigrants, refugees and all those in our community in need of healthcare!

Our testimonial speaker of the night - Kia Truong

    From Patient to Leader

Kia is a first-generation immigrant with a strong connection to ICHS’ founding mission. After she and her family escaped from the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and left a refugee camp in Vietnam, ICHS was their first healthcare provider in America.

Kia and her family started coming to ICHS as patients over 25 years ago. Through ICHS, not only did Kia find linguistically and culturally appropriate health services, she also grew as a part of the ICHS community, embodying our dedication to serve immigrant and refugee patients and all who seek our services no matter their background.

“My family and I are very appreciative of ICHS, its inclusive services and all the caring and professional providers.

Because we’ve experienced the process of how difficult it is to seek healthcare here, I really wanted to be part of ICHS and give back to help patients with similar struggles.”

    ICHS reflects on 50 years

Today, ICHS provides care to thousands of patients each year in 10 locations throughout the region, but its journey started in very humble circumstances five decades ago. ICHS’ history is a story of the love, caring, commitment and compassion that residents have for their community and for each other.
