This page is only available in English. How to view non-English web pages in Internet Explorer
If you are having trouble reading this page, you may need to activate your web browser’s multi-language font support.
Note that Windows 2000/XP has all of the Asian font viewing, editing, and input options built in. All you have to do is activate them. For instructions, go to Start>Help>[fonts, foreign languages, keyboards, languages, multiple language support, &/OR Unicode]
In Internet Explorer (Windows operating systems):
1. Go to the top menu bar.
2. Select VIEW > Encoding. You will see a drop-down menu with the current languages installed on your computer. First try Unicode (UTF-8) encoding, which can display many languages. If that doesn't work, select MORE and check if your language is listed below.
3. If you don’t see your language in the drop down list above, you will need to add it. Select TOOLS>Internet Options>General>Languages. Here you can add languages for viewing.
4. If your language is not listed, choose "User Defined" and type in the name of your language (such as 'Khmer').
Select TOOLS>Internet Options>General>Fonts. Here you can choose Script type, Web-page fonts, and Plain-text fonts. If your Script type is not listed, go back to (1b) above. If no fonts are listed for your Script type, you will have to download and install free Unicode fonts into your computer's Fonts folder.
One resource for the Khmer font CDTKhmer.ttf is http://www.camboday.com/fonts/CDT%20Khmer.ttf
Alternately, you can download Kh-SrokKhleang.ttf and other fonts through http://www.cfcambodge.org/KhmerUnicodFont.htm. (Scroll down that page and click on hyperlink: kbdkhufr.dll "Khmer Unicode pour le clavier AZERTY". Running khuAzNt.exe will install various Unicode Khmer fonts. Click "Ignore" on any "usp10.dll" error. Reboot before using fonts.)
