Join Our Board of Directors

The ICHS Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that ICHS fulfills its mission and stays in good financial health.  Board members oversee ICHS’ performance, establish strategic goals, and guide the organization through key policy and strategic decisions.

ICHS currently has dedicated community members serving on our Board of Directors. The variety of fields and experience they represent provides us with a solid grounding in our work.  Click here to learn more about our current Board of Directors.

A unique attribute of the ICHS board is that over half of the members are “consumers.” A “consumer” is anyone who is:

• A patient who is currently using or has used ICHS as his or her primary source of health care services within the last two years; or
• A legal guardian or immigration sponsor of a patient who uses ICHS as his or her primary source of health care services.

The Board Development Committee is recruiting for potential board members who:

1. are consumers of ICHS and have a desire to help ICHS achieve its mission;
2. are community leaders familiar with the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of Seattle and King County;
3. are interested in making health care more accessible, especially to low-income or limited English-speaking populations;
4. have knowledge and skills in the following fields:
    
   • Management
   • Health Care Delivery
   • Law
   • Marketing/Public Relations
   • Employee Relations
   • Personnel Management
   • Financial Management
   • Community Affairs
   • Social Services Delivery
    

Board meetings are held on every last Wednesday of the month and are open to the public.
